The Creation Creation - First Day
GENESIS 1
The Earth orbits the sun once every 365 days
and rotates about its axis once every 24 hours. Day and night are due to the Earth
rotating on its axis, not its orbiting around the sun. The term 'one day' is determined by the time the Earth takes to rotate
once on its axis and includes both day time and night time.
See this page from NASA that shows facts about the sun:

Sun Facts
·
The Sun is the largest object within our solar system,
comprising 99.8% of the system’s mass.
·
The Sun is located at the center of our solar system, and Earth
orbits 93 million miles away from it.
·
Though massive, the Sun still isn’t as large as other types of
stars. It’s classified as a yellow dwarf star.
· The Sun's magnetic field spreads throughout the solar system via the solar wind.

What would happen if the earth
stopped spinning
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_T7L8rt1Ec
a.
Life would not be possible
b.
1000 miles per hour earth rotating
c.
28000mph velocity causes the
gravity - if this slows down the everyone will be flying across the ground,
oceans would cause tidal wave. This would be the end of life
d.
The earth is spinning and causes
the centripetal force to have gravity
e.
The planet will cause to not have
a sun or too much sun
f. We are far enough from the sun that the climate is regulated
