The Creation Creation - First Day

I have been reading the Bible for most of my life but I have never really paid attention to the very beginning of everything.. This I decided to really dissect what God made each day and how it really began. We always fail to notice how great the God we serve, how amazing His power that He made every living thing perfect. So I am studying the " First Day" , as described in the book of Genesis. Here, God on at the very beginning told us how He created everything.

The Beginning
1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.


Yes, He created by mere sound of his voice and yes it was said that it is day and night on the very beginning, no biggie right? But did we ever start to think what that means?

    So I have done my research, not the I am saying that this should be done by everyone, but for reference and to know what Genesis is really talking about. Here are some facts about this "Day and Night" creation for the first day..

The Earth orbits the sun once every 365 days and rotates about its axis once every 24 hours. Day and night are due to the Earth rotating on its axis, not its orbiting around the sun. The term 'one day' is determined by the time the Earth takes to rotate once on its axis and includes both day time and night time.

3.           What would happen if the earth stopped spinning

a.      Life would not be possible

b.     1000 miles per hour earth rotating

c.      28000mph velocity causes the gravity - if this slows down the everyone will be flying across the ground, oceans would cause tidal wave. This would be the end of life

d.     The earth is spinning and causes the centripetal force to have gravity

e.      The planet will cause to not have a sun or too much sun

f.       We are far enough from the sun that the climate is regulated



Looking at all of this and not even including the seasons on the upper western hemisphere and this is all done on the very first day but just God saying it and it happened.. This is the Almighty God, I guess my point is its not even there yet we still have 6 more days of creation to discuss. 

The sun itself is proof of how big our Creator is, that most of the time we fail to realize His greatness. God made sure that we are far enough from the sun that we life can grow and exist, that in a minute difference can kill everyone in this planet. This is how perfect this creation is, very exact, very specific, very precise. I don't know about you but I prefer to know the God that holds this world since I live in it. In fact everyone should know the God that holds your life. Take time to realize who He really is.. We all think He is just a loving father, and that is very true and correct but not too accurate, He is Almighty too you know. So we can come to Him knowing his is all powerful and find rest that He is in control. If He can make this on His first day by just His voice then nothing is impossible to Him..
